We focus on providing members across the country with advocacy, service and savings.
Advocacy: A strong, unified voice is increasingly vital as communications technologies converge. Our representatives in Ottawa convey our messages to the CRTC, and inform governments on key issues related to both broadcast and telecommunications issues. Counsel on copyright issues is also available.
Service: Our dedicated staff has negotiated more than 200 contracts with suppliers around the world. We also manage 240 television-programming services, support the launch of new programs and services, and work hard to create a thriving and rewarding member community.
Savings: Our job is to save independent cable operators time and money. To keep costs down, we buy television programming and other services for our members and administer supply contracts using a cost-effective billing system.
To remain competitive in today’s communications industry, Canada’s independent cable operators need to be efficient, informed, flexible and proactive. We make that happen for our members by keeping content and technology costs low, educating them about changes in the industry, and ensuring government and regulatory stakeholders receive the right messages at the right time.
